Doctor Maria Rhee is a New Haven OBGYN, specializing in laparoscopic robotic hysterectomy with the da Vinci Surgical System. She got her Bachelors of Science in Biology at Duke University in Durham, NC, then went on to recieve a MD from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, MA, and then completed her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology, Yale New Haven Hospital, New Haven, CT. In robotic surgery, miniaturized instruments and a high-definition 3D camera enter the body through a small incision. The high-definition images allow the surgeon to work more precisely than was ever before possible.
